Authentic GSB Community recipe to prepare Bajji Dento Binkhand Maghe Sukhe recipe
- 2 cups of bhajo dento (steam of green Amaranatha )
- 2 medium cubed Maghe ( colored Cucumber or Mangalore cucumber)
- Jack fruit seed crushed 1 cup
- 1&1/2 tablespoon coriander seeds
- 1&1/2 tablespoon urad dal
- 1 tablespoon tamarind
- 6 -7 dried red chillies
- 1heeped cup of grated coconut
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 2 leaflets of curry leaves
- Jaggery small piece
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- Salt to taste
Heat oil in a tadka pan, fry urad dal, coriander seeds and red chillies until the urad dal starts to brown, coriander seeds starts popping and you get a nice aroma of fried red chillies and coriander seeds. Remove off heat and let them cool completely. Once they have cooled, grind them with grated coconut, tamarind and salt into medim madslz ( not do nice paste or not course) and keep it aside.
Pressure cook the bhsji dento and jackfruit seeds into two whistle. Let it cool
Heat oil in a tadka pan, add mustard seeds and once they start popping add curry leaves and fry them for few seconds. Now add the ground masala and Fry for while now add cubed Cucumber mix well add glass of water and close the lid and let it cook when it half cook add boiled dento and jackfruit seeds small piece of jaggery salt and mix and let it boil untill all the water evaporate it it become thick consistency… Now switch off the gas ..
Serve hot with a bowl of steaming hot rice and piping hot dalithoy or Rasam…!!!
