pomfret / manji rava fry recipe

lets go ahead and learn how to prepare an yummy tasting pomfret rava fry


1 large sized pomfret (manji)
2 tablespoon Ginger & Garlic paste
2 tablespoon Red chilli powder
1 tablespoon Turmeric powder
1 tablespoon Coriander powder
1 tablespoon pepper powder
1/2 cup Rice flour / thin Rava
2 tablespoon   lemon juice
Oil to shallow fry
Salt to taste

1 clean the pomfret and cut it into thin slices.
2 Marinate the fish with ginger garlic paste and salt for half an hour in refrigerator.
3 Mix together red chilli powder, turmeric powder ,coriander powder, pepper powder and lemon juice into a thick paste(add little water if needed).
4 Apply the above mixture to the fish and let it rest for at least ten minutes.
5  Heat oil in a pan. Roll the fish pieces in rava so that rava is coated all around the fish clice and shallow fry in moderately hot oil till done. Drain any extra oil using tissue paper.
6 Serve hot with a piece of lime.

this yummy fish fry can be served for lunch or dinner along with rice and fish curry 🙂
