Soak chana 1 cup overnight. Nxt day add little salt, soda ( optional), & cook until done.
Add little oil & fry 2 tbsp of coriander seeds & pinch of methi, untill aroma comes, but do not over fry.
Grind it along with fried long chilly 3-4, jeera 1/2 sp,garlic 2 no’s, tamarind little to a smooth paste adding little water.
In a kadai, add 3-4 sp of oil, then add 1 chopped onion, when turns pink add 3 chopped garlic, 2 springs of curry leaves & fry for a mt.
Now add masala along with little masala water , when boils add the chopped chana with little chopped coriander leaves. Add salt. Cook untii oil leaves sides with closed lid. Then add grated coconut & mix cook for a mt or two. Can add little jaggery ( optional)
Chana curry is ready…serve with rice or chapathi.
