GSB Konkani Cummunity Special Raja phanna upkari/ Bangude Pulimunchi/Spicy n tasty Konkani style bangda fish curry 


  • 4 bangda fish (mackerel)
  • 3 onions
  • 8 tsp oil
  • 2 green chillies
  • salt to taste

for masala:

  •  1/2 tsp corriander seeds
  • 2 tblsp fresh grated coconut
  • 12 red chillies
  • 2 tsp tamarind pulp


  1. Wash and clean the fish and cut into pieces
  2. Roast corriander chillies, coconut in 1/2 tsp oil and grind to fine paste with tamarind
  3. In a pan fry chopped onions in oil till light brown
  4. Add masala ,slit green chilli and fry for 5 minutes
  5. Put 1/2 cup water, mackerel pieces ,salt to taste and cook till the fish is cooked
