GSB Konkani community special dish Soyi Bhajili gashi with kadgi(tender jackfruit) and drumstick.
Black chana -1/4 kg (soaked in water for 12hours and pressure cooked)
Raw banana -1
Yam -100 gms
cashew nuts -1 cup
I’ve also added breadfruit ( jeevkadgi )
Grated coconut -2 glass
coriander seeds-2 tsp
Dry red chillies-8 -10
black gram dhal-2 tsp
Tamarind -Marble size
Pressure cook all veggies along with cashew nut for one whistle ..
in a kadai fry grated coconut, dry red chillies, coriander seeds, black gram dal without oil till it turns brown, grind all these along with tamarind to semi fine paste.
in a vessel add cooked chana , vegetables and ground masala add salt for taste.
bring it to a boil, season it with mustard seeds and curry leaves
Serve with hot steamed rice.
