we GSB people love pattoli and is prepared on most of our festival days below is the recipe to prepare pattoli
take 2 cups of freshly grated coconut and 1 cup jaggery in a kadai and cook till jaggery dissolves and the mixture is little bit dry as we make saaran for ukdiche modak,put cardamom powder and mix well.
Take 1 cup of rice flour put a pinch of salt, 1/2 tsp sugar add water to make a batter of medium consistency.
take haldi(turmeric) leaves and spread some batter on the right side of the leaf,spread some coconut-jaggery mixture over it this should be done uniformly its a matter of practice, fold the two sides of the leaf, prepare the remainig pattolis and steam in the modak patra/pressure cooker without whistle for 15 mins.
Note-you can use banana leaves if haldi leaves are not available,you can use wheat flour in the place of rice flour, no need to grease the leaves
