Rice murku or chakli

Ingredients : 

1 seer raw rice
2 pav black gram dal
4 tsp salt
Oil for frying
Turmeric powder a pinch
1 cup fine coconut gratings
Lump of butter
2 tbsps thil seeds

Method : 
Soak rice in water for a hour. Wash. Grind coconut gratings and extract thick juice.Roast black gram dal in frying pan till brown.Powder it,seive it and keep aside.Grind rice with turmeric and coconut juice to a fine paste.Mix butter,thil seeds,powdered dal,salt and enough water to make a fairly stiff dough.knead well. Press portions of dough through a murku mould and prepare murkus on a piece of paper in pattern of 2-3 concentric circles.Heat oil in frying pan to smoking point. Drop murkus gently in oil and deep fry till golden brown and crisp turning 2-3 times at intervals.
