We GSB community people normally have extra coconuts at home most of the time from various rituals performed so lets learn how to best utilize it making a delicious sweet Coconut Malai laddo out of it
Freshly grated coconut only white part-3 n 1/2 cups(2 coconuts)
Sugar -1 cup
Condensed milk*amul mitai mate-1 tin 400 ml
Ghee-2 tbsp+ little to grease u r hand
Orange food colour or kesar(optional)
Cardamom powder-1 tsp
Desiccated coconut powder(To roll the ladoos)
combine milk and grated coconut and keep aside.
In a non stick pan add sugar and water and prepare a sugar syrup of single thread consistency add food colour
Add coconut , mix well..keep on mixing and stirring on high heat then add condensed milk and keep on stirring and mixing till u get a big lump of coconut adjusting the flame(high low medium )add ghee and mix well. switch off the flame then add cardamom powder..allow this mixture to cool bit.
Grease ur hand with little ghee and make ladoos and roll the ladoos in desiccated Coconut powder and decorate it with cherries.soft and tasty ladoos are ready to serve
U can prepare burrfies too by Placing this mixture in greased plate allow it cool a bit and cut in to pieces
U can store the left over ladoos in refrigerator.
