Recipe to Prepare Vanilla/Rose Cake


  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tub margarine
  • 2 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoon vanilla essence
  • 1 drop of rose essence
  • 1 tin of carnation milk
  • 2 cups of all purpose white flour
Method :
First crack the eggs and mix it with sugar. Make sure the sugar is completely mixed with eggs. Then add vanilla essence and 1 drop of rose essence. Mix it well.

Add margarine and mix it very well – with a beater (not blender or food processor). Then add baking powder and carnation milk. Mix it until smooth.

Finally add 1 cup of flour first beat it smooth and then add another cup of flour. This must be done in stages to ensure you get very smooth bubbly cake.

Now put into the over that is preheated for 300 F. Put the cake on the top highest tray to avoid under baking or burning.

Now turn the oven to 350 and set it for 45 mins. After 45 mins wait for 3 mins and turn the oven on again at 350F for 10 mins.

The cake should be done. Take it out do not let it sit in the oven.

Put the cake on plate and let it cool.
